All-Women Distilling Team Releases Two New Grain-To-Glass Whiskies
Spirit Works Distillery, located in Northern California is the first all-women distilling team led by master distiller, Ashby Marshall. They produce all organic Vodka, Gin, Sloe Gin and Barrel Gin and now, Whiskey. Starting on December 1st, the highly anticipated grain-to-glass whiskies, the Straight Wheat Whiskey and the Straight Rye Whiskey, from Spirit Works Distillery will be on selves and in bars throughout California.

New Belgium Brewing and Ben & Jerry's Partner to make Salted Caramel Brown-ie Ale
Earlier this year, New Belgium Brewing and Ben & Jerry's collaborated to release Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale (ABV: 6.3%). Now, they have come out with a limited edition ice cream to coincide with the seasonal ale. This creamy treat, which combines New Belgium Brown Ale Ice Cream with salted caramel swirls and fudge brownies, will be on shelves around the country in November. Both collaborations help benefit "Protect our Winter," an environmental group that strives to fight the effects of climate change. Look for the ice cream in your local grocery store soon!

Champagne Perrier-Jouët Releases 2007 Limited Edition Belle Époque
Following the 1902 Emile Gallé Art Nouveau bottle design, Champagne Perrier-Jouët has encouraged young artists by creating limited edition bottles with emerging artists' designs. This year's Belle Époque has been designed by Austrian duo Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler to cap a year-long design partnership telling the story between nature and mankind. Only 6,000 of the 2007 limited edition Belle Époque hand-made bottles have been made and are available for $225.

Bollinger has been the exclusive Champagne partner, featured in 14 007 films, since 1979. The Bollinger SPECTRE Limited Edition contains a 2009 vintage Bollinger cuvée and is encased in a limited edition chill box.

Mouton Cadet to Serve as Official Wine for the 2016 Ryder Cup
Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA and the PGA of America announced that Mouton Cadet will be the official wine for the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. Mouton Cadet began its relationship with the Ryder Cup Europe in 2014 and is now growing that relationship across the Atlantic.

Four Finger Lakes Wineries Team Up for Large-Scale Solar Installations
Four wineries in New York's Finger Lakes Wine Country, Dr. Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars, Hunt Country Vineyards, O-Neh-Da and Eagle Crest Vineyards, and Wagner Vineyards, are working together to launch the first large-scale solar power systems that will add half a mega-watt of solar energy power, enough to power hundreds of homes.

Champagne and Burgundy vineyards were granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status on July 4, 2015. France is now home to 41 such sites.

Two Generations of Trefethen Family Auto Racers
Lorenzo Trefethen, third-generation vintner and vice president of Trefethen Family Vineyards, took first place at the prestigious Pirelli World Challenge Porsche GT Club Class, with his No. 13 Trefethen Vineyards Porsche 911 GT Cup race car. He follows in the footsteps of his father, John Trefethen who races in the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy and is currently ranked No. 1 in the Platinum Masters class.

The Court of Master Sommeliers Inductees
The Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas welcomed seven new members in May 2015. The three-part Master Sommelier Diploma Examination includes a blind tasting of six wines in 25 minutes. The resulting certificate is the highest distinction given to a professional in the beverage service industry.

The Walla Walla Valley has New Viticultural Areas
Oregon has a new American Viticultural Area (AVA), the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) announced this February. The appellation of The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater lies in the Walla Walla Valley in northeastern Oregon, near the Washington border. The AVA includes 19 vineyards, like TERO Estates and Watermill Winery.
