DESSERT WINE

Franz Haas 2012 Moscato Rosa Schweizer

Origin:
Alto-Adige, Italy

Rating: 14.5/20

Price: $62

The German Haas family has been growing grapes in Alto-Adige, Italy, for generations, though the current winemaker, Franz, is the first to produce and bottle quality wines. This dessert wine is a bright red color with a bouquet of clove, rose, cinnamon and a hint of orange. On the palate, it has a complex and balanced structure of acidity, sweetness and tannins. The 2012 Moscato Rosa perfectly complements a Yule log or can serve as a festive dessert all on its own!
