Chene Bleu 2011 Aliot

Chêne Bleu 2011 Aliot offers notes of apricot and pineapple

Origin: La Verrière, Provence, France

Only 1,500 bottles of this organic white wine were produced in 2011 so be forewarned it might be tough to find, but it's worth it and deserves a place on our list. Made with Rousanne, Grenache Blanc and Marsanne grapes, Chêne Bleu's award-winning Grenache blend is named after Aliot de Montvin, the glassblower who purchased the vineyard in 1427. Profiting from the region's high altitude and prolonged growing season, Aliot boasts fresh fruit aromas with notes of apricot and pineapple on the palate.

Seafood Pairing: This white Grenache blend pairs deliciously with a grilled salmon fillet.

Rating: 15/20
