RED BLEND

Trefethen Family Vineyards 2012 Dragon's Tooth
Napa Valley, California

Trefethen Family Vineyards began growing grapes in California's Napa Valley in the late 1960s. Inspired by the family's Welsh heritage, Dragon's Tooth honors an ancient British legend in which two dragons, one red and one white, fight in the sky. The red prevails, providing apt inspiration for Trefethen's dark garnet offering. This red blend of 66 percent Malbec, 20 percent Petit Verdot and 14 percent Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a unique balance of cherry and boysenberry aromas, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and toasty oak flavors resolving in a chocolaty finish.

Suggested Cut: This rich red blend is great with grilled ribeye.

Rating: 15/20

Price: $60
