Tasting Notes: Efeste isn’t named for one particular person, but is an acronym — FST — derived from the names of the owners: F for Daniel & Helen Ferrelli, S for Patrick Smith and T for Kevin & Angela Taylor. Although Efeste began with outsourced fruit, the Taylors planted three estate vineyards in 2007. The two that lie within the celebrated Red Mountain AVA provide some of the fruit for the 2010 Final Final. Despite the double moniker, it is neither the first nor the last vintage of this proprietary red blend. On the nose, it displays perfumed aromas of blueberry, plum, licorice and olive. In the mouth, Final Final reveals ripe black fruit flavors, a rounded mouthfeel and supple tannins.
Food Pairings: Pork and fennel sausages, deep dish pizza, roast beef, goat cheese
