Two days ago, I finally got to spend quality time Nona Sivley, the winner of season 8 of Hell’s Kitchen, in person. The funny thing is that when I was on the show judging a challenge on episode 8, I had to compare her to another chef. And she won!
Sivley is as sweet as a person can be. She has such positive energy, you just want to be around her; her husband Curtis and son Jackson are very lucky. She has now arrived at Kerry Simon’s LA Market at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live to work as the chef de cuisine. She’s always pleasant, even though she gets in at 6 a.m. and leaves around 10 p.m. If you thought being a chef was an easy job, you are mistaken.
Sivley attended law school for two years. One day, as she cooked pots de crème for her family, she had an epiphany. She realized what she wanted to do for the rest of her life was cook instead of practice law — quite a change of direction.
Celebrity chef Kerry Simon has immediately adopted her, and is happy to have her in the kitchen. On top of their passion for cooking, they share their love for rock n’ roll. The pair has worked together to add some of Sivley’s own dishes to the menu. Watch my exclusive videos with her above, and the photos below to discover some of them. If I had to rate her menu it would be a 14 out of 20.
Congratulations, Nona, for winning Hell’s Kitchen. We all know it is very, very tough, and welcome to Los Angeles.

I adore Nona for having that positive energy. And for guiding her team-mates during the last episode of season 8. She definitely deserved to win.
Wish you the best Nona!
