We have been fans of this lovely hotel for years. The rates and location lured us in. The warm, personable service keeps us coming back. While the hotel strives to find unique ways to benefit its guests (refreshments on arrival, complimentary Wi-Fi, etc.), it also works hard to contribute to its local community, from fundraisers to social events such as renting out the Sweetery Truck for free treats for guests and neighbors during the summer. The accommodations in this landmark 1903 building have been jazzed up since our first visit, but thankfully the contemporary style is in keeping with the refined, classic appeal of the surrounding Upper West Side environs. As for what you can walk to from here, Central Park, the Museum of Natural History and iconic Zabar's deli are just a few blocks away.
