The resort offers seven luxuriously appointed suites, each with its own gas fireplace; VCR; stocked mini-bar; bathroom with heated tile floors, double sinks and soaking tub with separate shower; and additional amenities. Views of Vail Village or Gore Creek are available, as is the choice of one king-sized bed or two double beds with bath.
Skiing isn't the only thing you can keep busy with at the resort. Sonnenalp's Resort Golf Club has one of the top 100 resort courses in the U.S. and packages are often available for both ski and golf aficionados. When your muscles need a rest, relax in the resort's spa with a massage or full body treatment, steam room, sauna, yoga, pools, or jacuzzi.

If
you're planning on taking a ski vacation to Vail this year, do it right
with a unique alpine experience: the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. Owners Rosana
and Johannes Faessler run the 88-suite luxury hotel in the same tradition
that Johannes' family has run the original Sonnenalp in the mountain village
of Oberallgau,
Bavaria. They also own the Swiss Hotel and Austria Haus Club in Vail.
In
addition to Ludwig's restaurant, which serves award-winning contemporary
cuisine, Sonnenalp houses three other restaurants to suit your tastes and
provides catering for special events.
