While you may not be able to afford all of the exotic cars on display at these cool events, you’ll sure get a kick out of ogling over them the next time they roll through your town.

JANUARY

1. Palm Beach Cavallino Classic

Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is all about Ferraris

The five-day gathering for Ferrari lovers will showcase 400 exotic and classic cars.

The first event of the larger Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is the The Cavallino Classic Competition at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida. This two-day track meet featured a field of competition Ferraris, Maseratis and Alfa Romeos on the 11-turn, 2.043 mile track.

The Concorso d’Eleganza on the front lawn of the Breakers Resort Hotel features a field of 150 Ferrari automobiles judged for originality and elegance, vying for Class Awards and the important Major Cups, along with the Cavallino Cup for Best in Show.

2. Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions

The inaugural Russo and Steele Collector Automobile from Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

Interested car buyers and casual automobile enthusiasts alike will all find something to ogle at during the event in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The auction displays more than 800 European sports cars, American muscle cars, hot rods and custom vehicles. The five-day extravaganza will include an opening night gala, a Champagne brunch, and daily auctions running from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Wednesday evening charity gala will feature live entertainment, a hosted bar, silent auctions, and appetizers from fourteen of Arizona’s finest chefs.

1. Amelia Island Concours d’Élegance

2. Festivals of Speed St. Petersburg

Car enthusiasts can expect a showcase of more than 300 exotic cars, motorcycles, watercraft and luxury brands at Vinoy Park.

The festivities kick off with a cocktail reception at the Priatek Tower in downtown St. Petersburg with open bars featuring wines and spirits and fare from local restaurants and their award-winning catering team along with live entertainment. Each guest will receive a special VIP gift bag and official fine art event poster.

2. Pacific Coast Dream Machines

Car enthusiasts flock to Pacific Coast Dream Machines every year

Taking place at Half Moon Bay Airport along California’s central coast, this annual gathering provides plenty of fun for guests on the track, in the dirt or in the sky.

Motor enthusiasts’ dreams do come true at Pacific Coast Dream Machines, a one-of-a-kind event combining rare automobiles, vintage scooters, antique tractors, airplanes and more. The self-proclaimed “Coolest Show on Earth” offers multiple events featuring more than 2,000 machines of all kinds on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are car shows, air shows, motorcycle shows, tractor shows, maker fairs, music festivals, food festivals and living history festivals.

Above the tarmac, look for historic military aircraft aerobatic pilots doing fly-overs. You can even get in on the action yourself by signing up for a ride in one of the many unique machines. The celebration also features a kids fun zone replete with zip-line, 24-foot climbing wall, Zorbs (aka human hamster balls), a remote-controlled NASCAR race track and more. Grown-ups can enjoy cocktails and beer along with an all-day lineup of live music.

MAY

1. Indianapolis 500

On Memorial Day weekend, drivers will take the green flag at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Since the reunification of open-wheel racing in 2008, an increased field of competitors has sought to qualify for the Indy 500, ensuring that race day is a nail biter. If you can’t make it to the race, practice and qualifying days are open to the public, and often provide easier access to the garages and drivers.

JUNE

1. 24 Hours of Le Mans

It is the world’s oldest active sports car race in endurance racing and one of the most prestigious.

An event of historical importance, the 24 Hours of Le Mans combines performance with endurance for this grueling 24-hour race. Drivers compete in one of the oldest circuit tracks in the world.

JULY

1. Concours d’Élegance of America

This event gives guests an up-close look at some of the finest rare and collectible vehicles in the world, ranging from vintage mopeds to classic Indy cars.

Differing from the original model of the Concours d’Élégance, which combined high-end automobiles with couture fashion, the Concours d’Élégance of America features a number of unique events over the course of the weekend, including seminars, a motoring tour of the scenic Plymouth countryside and a vintage car auction. Of course, the main draw of the weekend is still the Concours itself.

AUGUST

1. Pebble Beach Concours d’Élegance

Car enthusiasts will convene at Pebble Beach for five days of fun culminating with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance.

The annual Concours d’Elegance features around 200 of the most prized collector cars in the world. Along with the many events will be an exhibition drive of the Concours d’Élegance vehicles, an auction, and a historical RetroAuto display.

Automobiles and motorcycles are judged for their historical accuracy, their technical merit and their style—and the best garner reward and recognition.

SEPTEMBER

1. Danville Concours d’Élegance

Once again descending upon the small East Bay town’s historic Old Town, this weekend car event benefits Parkinson’s research.

On Saturday, the weekend’s festivities begin with a Tour d’Élegance along the scenic country roads of North Bay. When the sun goes down, guests get dressed up for a night out at the Blackhawk Museum, where the establishment’s own classic car collection will be on display before dinner and a live auction.

Sunday morning, vintage automobiles, motorcycles, yachts and trailers take over the streets of Old Town for the Concours d’Élegance. Although the main draw is rare and exotic autos, visitors will also enjoy chowing down on gourmet food, sampling Napa wines and racing remote control cars with the kids. Sunday’s Concours is free to guests; however, donations are encouraged, with proceeds benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Parkinson’s Institute.

2. Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion

The festival encompasses 35 blocks of Ontario’s historic downtown and is host to an assortment of more than 2,000 classic vehicles.

For a heavy dose of automotive nostalgia, join the more than half million people who will gather in downtown Ontario for the annual Route 66 Cruisn’ Reunion, a four-day celebration of America’s “Mother Road.” Downtown Ontario’s historic block of Euclid Avenue will be the center of vintage automobiles and motorcycles.

Spectators will enjoy food, vendors, live entertainment and special events in addition to the beautiful automobiles. Some of the events include the Burnout Contest, with vehicles competing to see which can best smoke their tires, and the Neon Light Cruise, a nighttime cruise with classics all aglow.

OCTOBER

1. Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Élegance

Visitors will find everything from the latest European performance cars to museum-quality vintage car at this celebration.

Taking place on Saturday at the Port Royal Golf Club, the Car Club Showcase will feature Clubs from throughout the Southeast and beyond with each club selecting the ten cars that best represents their passion. Cars, grouped by Club, will span the 1st and 18th fairways of Planter’s Row Golf Course at the Port Royal Golf Club and will be split between American and European marques.

NOVEMBER

1. Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals

Take a walk down memory lane with more than 500 of the country’s finest, rarest and most highly sought-after collectible automobiles.

This all-indoor event, to be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, will feature dealer-built supercars from the likes of Nickey, Mr. Norm’s, Royal, Yenko, and Motion. Along with the Hemis, Bosses, and COPOs there have been Corvette L88s, Shelby Fords and sYc supercars.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a Triple Diamond Corvette gallery and competition. There are also activities for kids, including a scavenger hunt, bicycle show and free “Make & Take” model car build.
