THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES 50 Forks Restaurant Review:

The next Top Chef may be making your meal at 50 Forks, located at The Art Institute of California’s Orange County campus. Because this student-run restaurant does not have a license to serve alcohol, the innovative chefs create palate-opening “apéritifs” with fresh citrus juices and herbs from the nearby sustainable garden. Chef and instructor Peter Striffolino oversees the weekly changing menu, which features a few starters, a couple of salads, a soup and a handful of entrées. Because the dining space is an extension of the classroom for the young chefs, the menu items rotate. One week you may enjoy seared yellowtail with chorizo and white beans, and the next week opt for a crispy duck confit with potato wedges and sautéed cabbage. That said, the dishes, from appetizers to desserts, tend to reflect a modern American motif, along with a dash of French technique to keep things interesting.
