Ada's Restaurant Review

:
About the restaurant & décor: Chef/owner James Trees is behind Ada's, a sister restaurant to Esther's Kitchen, his Italian spot in the Las Vegas Arts District. The design features original artwork of trees and birds, an open kitchen, wicker basket light shades, large windows and indoor and shaded outdoor seating.

Likes: The ice cream can be enjoyed by the scoop, in a brûléed banana split, spumoni or in sundaes with a range of toppings like blackberry port compote, caramel popcorn bark and Luxardo cherries.
Dislikes: The dessert menu is limited to ice cream choices, so those who are lactose intolerant may be left out, until more options are added to the menu.

Food & Drinks: The all-day menu features appetizers of which the house-made bread with options of adding burrata or anchovy butter is a must-have. Other worthy choices include cauliflower with chili, garlic and anchovy; and arancini with summer corn and truffle. Salads are highlighted by The Market, with peaches, hazelnut, ricotta and mustards. A standout pasta dish is the gemelli with pistachio pesto, peas, lemon zest and pecorino. The wide range of designer pizzas with non-traditional ingredients are also stars, such as the Foie Gras with duck confit, duck fat and foie gras; and Bacon + Egg with Fontina, quail eggs and caramelized onion. The grand finale is the house-made ice cream with flavors including peach & ricotta, balsamic strawberry & buttermilk, Saturday morning cereal and Vesta white coffee & chocolate. The wine list, comprised mainly of Italian labels, mirrors the food menu, with suggested wines listed for each section, such as the Rosato Toscano Sangiovese paired with snacks and the Cortese di Gavi with pizza.
