THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Urban Spice Restaurant Review:

Executive chef Chintan Pandya elevates classic Indian dishes. Chicken 65, for instance, gets a lift from a sauce of yogurt with cumin, plus a good hit of coconut, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Eggplant chaat offers crispy slices of eggplant with tomato, drizzled with a yogurt tamarind sauce and garnished with thinly sliced red onions. We also recommend the lamb biryani, nestling rice, saffron and lamb under a crisp cover, rather like a potpie. Home-style macchi curry presents a fresh fish in a flavorful sauce with basmati rice. For dessert, orange sherbet packed inside an orange, frozen then sliced, is light and delectable. Vegetarians are easily accommodated via a long list of appetizers and mains, and gluten-free selections, although not listed on the menu, are available. The wine list proposes very little that’s appropriate with Indian food; there are Indian beers to enjoy, however. As the restaurant was a Southwestern American/Mexican place before becoming Urban Spice, there is a Tapas Lounge where "tapas," many of them from Mexican cooking, are half-price Monday-Friday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
