THIS RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED Woodbridge Inn Restaurant Review:

Built in the mid-1800s, the old Lenning Hotel became the Woodbridge Inn when the Rueffert family bought it in 1976. Offering a view of the mountains from the main dining room, the inn has been popular for getaway feasting for many decades, appealing especially to patrons from Atlanta and Chattanooga. Owner Hans Rueffert, who was four years old when his parents bought the inn, carries on his dad's tradition. Rueffert has fewer German dishes on his menu than his father did; however, a German charcuterie board to share is available as an opener. We liked the mushroom schnitzel, with fresh mushroom gravy, red cabbage and spätzle (potato pasta), while the fork-tender pork cutlet was generously breaded and the accompanying gravy an ideal embellishment. Rueffert is serious about healthy eating (and flavor), so look for a special bowl selection that focuses on seasonal fitness fare. All desserts are made in house; we tasted a lemon pie that was tangy, although we thought some restraint was needed with the raspberry coulis. The wine list is basic, with emphasis on the Woodbridge brand, but there are other labels as well as beers.
