Ba Shan hits the hot spot in Soho with its Chinese cooking.
Ba Shan Restaurant Review:
Ba Shan comprises a series of small rooms decorated with a motley mix of bird cages, wooden screens and lanterns. The menu offers Szechuan dishes and rice and noodle plates, all with the trademark chilli heat. Try the sweet-and-sour pork ribs; dumplings of all kinds, like Szechuan wontons; the famous guotie from Xi’an (often called pot stickers); perhaps a salad of five-spiced beef; and vegetables including stir-fried water spinach with chilli and Szechuan pepper. It’s a delightful experience and different from the usual Chinatown fare.
