THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Tucked away in upscale Woodbury Commons lies this treasure for the eclectic appetite. Baang, (which means to bind or tie together in Chinese) blends French style and technique with Asian ingredients. The expansive, modern décor is dimly lit and inviting, with a staff dressed sleekly in black and looking to cater to your every culinary need. Although romantic, whispering won't work here as the kitchen and chef are in full view at the center of the room. Nibble on the steamed chicken-and-mushroom dumplings and bonito-crusted crab cakes with Thai chili-mustard sauce. It's hard to go wrong with any entrée, but we recommend the barbecued salmon and the five-spice chicken breast with pad thai noodles delivered in a heaping mass. Try the wasabi-infused mashed potatoes to accompany any meal; with a slight hint of spice. For dessert, the yin and yang serves up molten chocolate cake oozing hot fudge, with espresso ice cream. Baang's portions are designed to be shared and are served family-style. The wine list offers a nice assortment of bottles from around the world including Australia, Germany and France.
