Bar Louie Restaurant Review:

Quite large and loud, Bar Louie in Rockville Town Square seems to be all about TV sports programs, happy hours and socializing, with a dominant central bar with wines and cocktails. Considering that the experience is really about booze and not food, it’s no surprise that the menu lacks finesse. Small plates range from Bavarian pretzel sticks to a bland artichoke-spinach dip and chicken nachos. All are preludes to assorted burgers, salads, sandwiches and large plates --- these include Tuscan chicken pasta and a dish called Mexican Sunrise that is simply a fried egg topping some black beans and a layered cheese quesadilla. Of the two desserts, the Tennessee whiskey cake is probably the more interesting choice.
