Perched on the edge of the Morro Bay Estuary, Inn at Morro Bay offers several dining venues with enviable waterfront views: the outdoor deck, The Bay Club lounge and the Bay View Restaurant main dining room. Breakfast highlights include the black pepper gravy on the chicken fried steak and a different twist on eggs Benedict with prosciutto and potato pancakes. The lounge’s lunch and casual dinner dishes are fairly straightforward, albeit with house-made tartar sauce for the fish ‘n’ chips, and a burger topped with apple wood-smoked pork belly. For dinner, a more upscale menu is also an option; it showcases local ingredients when possible, such as salmon and halibut in season and Hearst Ranch beef. Desserts are basic --- chocolate mousse, cheesecake, etc. There’s a full bar, plus bottled beers and a predominantly local wine list. Note: You can order off the dining room's upscale menu in the lounge or on the deck, but not vice-versa.
