Black & Blue Restaurant Review:

With flaming torches declaring its presence, Black & Blue makes a statement. Inside, the décor is contemporary with leather seating, retro posters covering the walls and wood panelling. Staff are young and friendly. The menu is pretty wide ranging starting with prawns chargrilled with garlic butter, foie gras pâté, and crayfish and guacamole salad with crème fraîche. But it’s the steaks that are the stars: the group sources from the best in Scotland and the kitchen certainly knows how to cook it. This is all-day dining, with burgers, chicken, ribs and the like, ideal for that afternoon tea moment when you’d rather have a sirloin. Simple desserts and a good short wine list.
