THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bohemian House Restaurant Review:

Odds are, you’ve never heard of Jimmy Papadopoulos; he was at Sam & Harry’s in suburban Schaumburg prior to Bohemian House. The setting, given the restaurant’s River North address, is rather surprising, too. The floral china and cozy seating is worlds away from the surrounding glam, but that’s a good thing. Then there’s the Czech, Austrian and German-inflected menu, which demands you come hungry and ready for hearty fare. You’d be wise to begin with the lovely, slow-roasted beets, accented by apples, smoky walnuts and caraway vinaigrette, and the beef pierogi that are stippled with roasted carrots and served with sour cream and pickled shallots. Move on to the comforting chicken paprikash or the pork schnitzel with dill sauce and charred lemon. Naturally, you’ll want a plum kolacky to finish the meal. Start with one of the fairly straightforward cocktails, followed by a Czech beer.
