THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bricks Pizza Restaurant Review:

Though the Neapolitan pizza war is relatively modern-day, Bricks has been serving up its thin-crust versions since 1997. The basement address may be claustrophobic for some; others will find it downright cozy. Either way, be prepared for things to get loud in the casual restaurant’s two rooms. There are 16 pies to choose from, available in three sizes, plus a make-your-own option with classic (sausage) and creative (Maytag blue cheese) toppings. The combination of ingredients on the Popeye --- fresh spinach, tomatoes, roasted garlic, tomato sauce, feta and mozzarella --- is a good foil for the crunchy-yet-chewy crust beneath. If the white clam pizza special with garlic, béchamel sauce and mozzarella is available, get it. Skip the smattering of sandwich and pasta offerings but do start with one of the salads, perhaps the arugula with shaved Parmesan. There’s a passable selection of craft beers and imports as well as a pizza-friendly wine list.
