THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Cafe Barbette Restaurant Review:

Café Barbette is what every bistro wants to be, a comfortable and inviting favorite serving something for everyone. This casual French spot that took the place of Café Wyrd, wears many neighborhood hats by creating a fun and whimsical gathering space to have coffee, meet for breakfast, take a date for a delicious dinner, or rendezvous for a quiet wine bar moment. The circus inspired décor is funky enough for the trapeze drag queen for whom the café is named. The food is focused and right on. Until now, there has never been a place in the Twin Cities to get a decent croque monsieur, a toasted ham and Gruyère sandwich. You'll find French onion soup, steak frites, and salad Niçoise along with cheese and chocolate fondues. Nightly specials round out the short menu, and the mushroom risotto with white truffle oil is a jackpot! The wine list is accessible and the beer list diverse. Not unlike the crowds who are gathering and pouring out the door at Café Barbette.
