Café du Monde is the New Orleans-based coffee and beignets operation in that city's French Market, where you can go at 4 a.m. to sip coffee with chicory and feast on beignets, deep-fried dough squares dusted with powdered sugar. This long-established Atlanta outpost is only a slip of a space in downtown's Underground Atlanta, but it offers the same strong, full-flavored coffee and the same beignets.
