Cafe Izmir Restaurant Review:
It began as a tiny venue with about ten tables but demand spawned an additional intimate patio, and there’s even overflow into the Greenville Avenue parking lot. The mostly tapas-style offerings are solidly rooted in the Middle East, not Spain; you can't beat the falafel and tabbouleh, and the must-have grilled asparagus. Tuesday nights bring discounted tapas and free sangría from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Be forewarned: This café is somewhat habit-forming. A dinner visit invites lingering at their neighboring Moroccan-inspired lounge and a return visit to their street-side deli for lunch.
