Upstairs is a wacky space made to look like a starving artist's studio. Artists actually do come here to work. Customers enjoy watching, and they can purchase paintings to go, too. Tu Tu Tango serves appetizers only, making it a good spot for after-hours snacking or for pre- or post-performance fare. Get a taste of the house-made sangría for a thoroughly Spanish libation to go with these dishes, which are tapas: small plates that will serve one person. The way to enjoy this buzz-y little place is to assemble a variety of them for a group to share. Talk about eclectic cuisine: You can get pizza, Cajun chicken egg rolls, empanadas and even hummus with pita bread. The concepts come from all over the world, and run from a Spanish antipasto with Serrano ham, chorizo, and Manchego cheese to south Florida alligator bites. The quesadilla comes with Sloppy Joe-style beef as well as a chipotle-flecked cheese. Brochettes and skewered meats are good choices, and there are lots of salads, several available in two sizes.
