THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cajun Cabin Restaurant Review:
First-time visitors to New Orleans usually have a preconceived idea of what Bourbon Street is like: raucous and still roaring way past their bedtime. Cajun Cabin lives up to the hype. Live Zydeco and Cajun music plays nightly --- and way too loudly --- and a balcony overlooking the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street is ideal for people-watching. If we only had one word to describe the cooking it would be “heavy.” Ribs, jambalaya, rib-eye steaks, etouffées and all things spicy and starchy pepper the menu, but the pièce de résistance may be the humongous deep-fried seafood platter. Couple that with lots of alcohol and bananas Foster cheesecake with caramel sauce for dessert.
