With new owners at the helm and Craig Rouse of Taps fame in the kitchen, this well-known restaurant/watering hole is slowly but surely reclaiming the limelight. Its proximity to Edison Field has always assured it of a built-in customer base, but customers haven’t necessarily been enamored of the steakhouse fare. Rouse brings a new level of expertise to the table---literally. He’s particularly good at preparing the fresh seafood for which this restaurant first became famous. All in all, this is still a good bet for hearty American fare---and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., it’s one of the best happy hour hangouts in Orange County.
