Celebration Town Tavern Restaurant Review:
The residents of Celebration, Fla., the town that Disney built, have longed for a neighborhood bar. Celebration Town Tavern is that kind of place, with a bar just inside the front door, roomy booths and tables and comfortable service. The down-home eatery has something for everyone. Start with some spicy tuna dip or fried whole-belly Ipswich clams and a bowl of clam chowder. There are burgers, meatloaf, steaks and chicken, but we say go straight for the fresh seafood --- tasty offerings include fried fish ‘n’ chips, lightly battered fried oysters, baked jumbo shrimp topped with lemon butter and breadcrumbs, and classic Boston scrod. For a true taste of the Northwest, try the homemade Grape Nut pudding for dessert. Even though there’s a steady stream of tourists, this little tavern feels like home.
