THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Chiswick Restaurant Review

: It helps to like lilac at this minimalist Modern British eatery with few decorative frills, hard acoustics and uncomfortably small tables. Kate and Adam Robinson (of Brackenbury success), have taken over the excellent no-fuss food (impressively, the menu changes twice daily), so the unforgiving décor doesn’t grate. Starters often include brilliant charcuterie/terrines with homemade chutney followed by robust, fresh-flavoured roasted halibut with red wine sauce or calves liver and melted onions. Good cheeses, and trad puds with delicious ice creams finish the meal. The ’one-hour lunch menu’ (also 7pm-8pm) is excellent value at two courses for £9.50 and three for £12.95. Service is keen yet informal and there are plenty of modestly priced wines.
