THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES The Crab Shanty Restaurant Review:
For those seeking a more upscale atmosphere in which to have a giant pile of steamed hard-shell crabs, there's The Crab Shanty. The crabs are generally heavy and well spiced, plus there's a full menu --- broiled, grilled, sautéed or blackened fish, steamed shellfish, crab cakes, plus veal, chicken, beef and pasta --- for those not enthusiastic about picking their way through dinner. There’s even a small-plates menu of new creations, served Fridays in the pub. For a vintage touch, decorative items in the dining areas were culled from historic houses, barns and hotels on the Eastern seaboard, and an auction yielded a real prize: the sleigh used in the film “White Christmas.”
