D&J Bistro Restaurant Review

: This is a pleasant place in the “country” for good bistro fare. Its unassuming location is in a strip mall, but once inside it feels all-out French, from the cold, house-cured foie gras to the salade Lyonnaise and duck confit. Though the kitchen likes to dabble outside its main cuisine now and again, the cooking is authentic, with French onion soup, steak frites and profiteroles making a nice three-course dinner. Then again, you shouldn’t miss the escargots. When you're in the mood for something else, know that go-to dishes include seared scallops with soba noodles and crab ravioli atop black pasta with baby bok choy. The notable wine list offers some real values. Service is cordial and knows what is going on --- in and out of the kitchen. We just wish the waits (even with reservations) weren’t so excruciatingly long on weekends. Save a few bucks and bring your own wine for a $15 corkage fee.
