DaiLo Restaurant Review:

DaiLo feels comfortable with its private booths and outdoor seating, but the filigreed detailing and floral wallpaper, in addition to the elevated dishes, make the space elegant enough for a date. This restaurant serves family-style Asian fusion plates for the entire table. We recommend sampling the DaiLo’s Choice menu for $55 per person, because it gives guests up to twelve dishes to enjoy at a great value. Several of them are regular menu items, but some, like Laksa soup with Argentinean shrimp, are daily features. Hakka wontons are filled with pork and shrimp and doused in the restaurant’s homemade xo sauce. One of the more unique selections highlights fried watermelon and dried pork floss; it marries the cool and juicy texture of watermelon with a crispy cornstarch coating. Peking duck breast arrives thinly sliced with mounds of fresh herbs and coconut-crusted cashews. DaiLo carries several wines from around the world, but the cocktails are a must-try. Sample the tom yum booze, which combines gin and coconut water with lemongrass, makrut lime and sliced red chili. Complementary sparkling water is also available.
