Dal Grano Restaurant Review:
At this tiny shop in busy suburban McLean, patrons order take-out or grab one of the few tables to enjoy their freshly made pastas, ranging from rigatoni to fettuccine and gnocchi, plus more in between. Homemade sauces are add-ons and they, too, span from a simple tomato version to pork sausage and broccoli as well as a selection of shellfish, squid and shrimp in two different kinds of sauces. The kitchen also whips up stuffed pasta dishes and risotto with cheese or mushrooms, special meat and seafood entrées and sandwiches like the Cubano with ham and homemade porchetta. Desserts are limited but creative, as in a mango or chocolate mousse and the homemade cheesecake.
