The huge granite fireplace in the dining room at Damian’s will certainly keep diners cozy in the winter as will the international comfort cuisine with the welcome of “something for everyone.” Dishes like teriyaki chicken tenders might not excite to start, but do try the spicy tamale with chicken steamed in banana leaves. For dinner, go for Italian fare such as veal Marsala or chicken saltimbocca or something more creative like the pan-seared duck breast with a cranberry wine sauce. Desserts shine here, especially the sweet and tart chocolate cherries jubilee torte and a vanilla lavender crème brûlée, good with a coffee and the view of the burbling river.
