The music may be Mozart, but the menu is solidly modern. The appetizers will delight those tired of olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Try the shredded carrot and red cabbage salad, the sausage sampler or the venison ragoût with sun-dried cherries. Then indulge in the thin, crisp wienerschnitzel or the rich wild-boar stew with Black Forest mushrooms accompanied by parsley spätzle and braised red cabbage. The German chocolate layer cake is rich. Those who want a lighter finish will do better with the warm, flaky apple strudel. Lagers, Pilseners, ales, porters and hard cider are joined by good German wines, which are, of course, the perfect partners for this food.
