UPDATE: Fahrenheit has closed and in its place is Como, a family Italian restaurant. 4/4/02. Fahrenheit has been a pleasant surprise. Too often when a restaurant looks this sleek and contemporary the food goes way over the top and falls into a chasm of contrivance. That's not the case here. The food is solid, easy-to-deal-with contemporary American cuisine that is creative and oozes with confidence. Have the seared sea scallops arranged over a salad of panzanella consisting of chopped tomatoes and fresh basil atop a square of grilled bread. Veal sweetbreads are fully gratifying. The temperature just seems to keep rising at this chic-chic restaurant.
