farm:table Restaurant Review:
If you want to know what's on the simple menu at farm:table, either follow it on Twitter or just show up. Nestled in a clean, white-brick-fronted historic building, the tiny coffee shop-cum-eatery is dominated by one communal table, but there are two small tables outside for sunny-day diners. The counter, a commercial sink and an oven comprise the kitchen and remainder of the space. Hot drinks and baked goods are the way to go here, though larger breakfast-focused bites such as frittatas and french toast, as well as yogurts and salads are also available. Try the toast of the day, a focaccia-style bread embedded with seasonal fruit and topped with mascarpone, fruit and nuts. Tea pots, coffee drinks and, our favorite, steamed milk with honey and cardamom, are treats at a level expected from a member of the craft coffee community, and the pound cakes baking in the oven are a constant temptation.
