THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS CHANGED NAMES This location of Food 101, an extension of the Sandy Springs original, offers a wine cellar-private dining room with brick-lined walls. Most of the menu is the same at both eateries. Start with the crisp calamari with lemon aïoli, or perhaps a mini burger or beef slider with house-made Boursin cheese. Sweet corn fritters, at once savory and sweet, are nicely offset by a truffle-honey whole-grain mustard with fresh Vermont goat cheese. All the Food 101 classics are here from meatloaf to shrimp and grits with caramelized onion, andouille and San Marzano tomato gravy, and Georges Bank scallops. A house-made braised pork ravioli and herbed gnocchi with crimini mushrooms, roasted shallots, spinach and olive oil, the latter an ideal vegetarian plate, are specials of this branch. Brunch is chock-a-block with intriguing dishes, ensuring that patrons will not soon grow bored. The wine list is a little more adventurous here than at the sister spot.
