Freddy’s Ribhouse is one of the better rib joints in the city. The broad selection---beef ribs, baby-backs, two styles of spareribs---gives the place an edge over other rib places around the area. Freddy’s Ribhouse emits some of the feel of a rib house (blended with a sports bar) but doesn’t even come close to classics such as Arthur Bryant’s in Kansas City and the Rendezvous Restaurant in Memphis. Locally, Freddy’s stacks up with local classics such as Leon’s and Charlie Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs (they all offer a slightly different approach to seasoning and texture, which is what makes barbecue so interesting.)
