A classy place to enjoy Japanese food. It’s one of the best sushi bars in Chicago---choices are extensive, impeccable and innovative. For the sushi-timid there is teriyaki and tempura, and these are offered as complete dinners, with soup, rice, and dessert at the table, not the bar. Prices are up there a bit, but the quality and service are first-rate. The location, one block off Michigan Avenue, makes Hatsuhana a mecca for tourists and travelers, which means its always busy. But you wouldn’t want to eat sushi at a restaurant that wasn’t busy---would you?
