THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Indigo Restaurant Review:
HURRICANE KATRINA: this establishment is currently closed. For a New Orleans Travel Update as well as resources, information and help click here. INDIGO IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED. The view from Indigo's wide terrace takes in a lovely garden and a 1790s cottage that is now a bed-and-breakfast but once was the center of an indigo plantation (hence the restaurant's name). Burnished gilt and teak chairs set a sophisticated mood for the restaurant's focus. Chef Jared Katz offers a small-plates menu including lamb lollipops with pepper jelly glaze, duck and foie gras turnovers with blackberry demi-glace, and braised rabbit tortellini with truffled herb cream. A brief entrée menu is offered, as is an extensive and interesting by-the-glass wine list.
