George and Toni Ippolito came from Connecticut to found this Atlanta chain of home-style Italian-American restaurants in 1989. Recipes for their hearty fare come from family sources, and yield large portions of red-sauced pastas, veal, pizza and chicken entrées. If you’re feeding a crowd on a budget, here is where you want to be. Heady aromas from the kitchen will almost make you forget the crowds, the kids and the TVs. Manicotti, calzone and similar classics are well done. Vegetarians --- and others --- will like the broccoli linguine, which never could leave the menu without risking revolt. The kids’ menu offers four nice selections. For dessert, try the cannoli, although the tiramisu is the most popular choice. Wine offerings are serviceable if not exciting. Waits can be very long, especially on weekends, leaving some patrons to go for a carry-out order instead. Weekday dinner closes at 9 p.m.
