![]() : In the tiny fishing cluster of islands known as Cedar Key, this restaurant outflanks the nearby competition for special-occasion dining. You can sample the rightfully famous local bivalves with an order of steamed clams with andouille sauce, plum tomatoes, garlic and fresh herbs in a white-tablecloth dining room with views of the placid Gulf of Mexico. Chef Peter Stefani takes great pains to grow his own vegetables and herbs, showcased in bright seafood dishes such as a Cedar Key seafood boil or a classic linguine with clams (ask for it with plum tomato). For dessert, those in the know head for the velvety bread pudding with bourbon sauce. |
