This large Indian restaurant offers a few surprises: one is the erotic art that covers the walls, replicas of temple renditions of the kamasutra; another, the western desserts such as carrot cake, chocolate cake and ice cream; yet another, the handsome brass serving pieces. In between, there are crisp breads or stuffed breads, and tandoor (lamb tandoori) and vindaloo (shrimp vindaloo) dishes in preparations subtle enough to make use of the tamarind and coriander on every table. Try milk balls and rice pudding if you like Indian sweets. There are many choices on the comprehensive menu---you can get an education in Indian cooking and flexibility at the same time.
