La Petite Maison Restaurant Review:
La Petite Maison is delightful, effortlessly re-creating its parent, La Petite Maison in Nice. If the sun is not shining in London, just look at the table decorations of a lemon, tomatoes and a bottle of olive oil and imagine you're in the south of France. The food will mostly remind you of sunny weather, with dishes like pissaladière, stuffed Mediterranean vegetables, and French beans with foie gras as starters. Sit back and imagine the blue of the Mediterranean as you tuck into a Genoese shellfish and pasta stew with Pernod, or taste the sweet lamb cutlets with smoked aubergine. The emphasis here is on sharing and dishes arrive as they are ready. It's a noisy restaurant, but the staff is delightful. If you're a fan of rosé, you'll feel at home, but there's a good Italian and French wine selection too.
