![]() : As snug and clubby a little place as you'll find in town, this French eatery works well as a neighborhood destination. The staff seems to know their patrons, and the location is convenient to and within walking distance from nearby houses. It's also a change of pace to find an affordable restaurant with upscale food. But don't think all this means you can drop by in sweats and sneakers. Some decorum, please. Dress right to enjoy the steak frites, coquilles St-Jacques, and the classic and caloric French onion soup. You might consider turning your lunch into a crêpe-fest: buckwheat crêpes with bacon, cheese and a creamy mushroom sauce, or sautéed sea scallops, ginger, white wine and crème fraîche. There's also a Nutella crêpe for dessert. For more relaxation, you might want to sit back in the upstairs wine lounge. |
