THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Maison Brasserie Restaurant Review:
The booming Lakeshore East neighborhood next to Millennium Park has another feather in its cap: Maison Brasserie. It comes courtesy of the Custom House Tavern crew. Perry Hendrix is in the kitchen, whipping up French-inspired fare, grand seafood platters, luxe steak tartare and rich, silky pâté. The dining room is separate from the white, bright bar, with striking views overlooking the skyline. It's the perfect backdrop for crackly roast chicken, set atop a jus-saturated crouton, There's a fine whole trout in lemon butter, too. But the standout? Handmade pasta topped with vibrant braised rabbit ragoût. For dessert, go with a classic: profiteroles. There’s a nice wine selection, including some sips on tap.
