Bizcaya Restaurant Review:

This Ritz-Carlton restaurant may no longer be a cutting edge dinner and weekend brunch destination, but it serves well-executed resort fare in a handsome space inspired by nearby historic Villa Vizcaya, with rich wood panels, Italian marble floors, and silk damask accents. The lush, exotically planted terrace with a cascading waterfall is lovely for al fresco dining. While the cuisine is not definitive of any specific locale in the world, including Florida, it does make occasional use of regional seafood and local, organic produce. Choose a fish; method of cooking; sauce; and side to make a meal: blackened grouper with mushroom risotto in saffron sauce or pan-seared red snapper with baby bok choy in mango habanero sauce, for instance. Bizcaya is still popular as a power-lunch destination; the $24 three-course Executive Lunch is a value.
