Christie's Seafood & Steak Restaurant Review:

Christie’s dates back to 1917, when Theodore Christie opened a little food stand in Galveston, which became famous for its fish sandwiches. In 1939, he moved his business to Houston where the restaurant became a family classic for its straightforward seafood and steaks. Today the family owned and operated restaurant still churns out the famous fried fish sandwich along with plenty of hearty Gulf Coast seafood platters. We particularly like the fish filet stuffed with crab meat and drizzled in sherry sauce that comes with a big baked potato and vegetables. Just don’t fill up on the mini fried crab balls that are one of the most popular appetizers. There’s a full bar and a dessert menu with a typical Key lime pie and a pretty good strawberry daiquiri cheesecake.
