McKinnon's Louisiane Restaurant Restaurant Review:

McKinnon's Louisiane Restaurant, founded in 1972, is a page out of America's culinary past and a longtime Atlanta favorite. Grouper and amberjack are the menu’s preferred Gulf options along with a few trout classics, which the kitchen can prepare blackened, fried or baked. Lately, however, the popcorn crawfish tails, once our favorite starter, turn out over-fried and tasteless. We do like the so-called Savannah crab soup, though it evokes Creole more than low country influences. In season, soft-shell crab are good fried; meanwhile, the restaurant's classic signature dish is eggplant casserole. Barbecued shrimp are available as well. For dessert, get the chocolate marquise with crème anglaise. The wine list relies heavily on Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon for its main content, none of which goes with the food.
