Mekong Restaurant Review:

The Tran family is well into its second generation, and having helped establish South Grand as an ethnic dining destination a couple of decades ago, they stick to what they do best: solid chicken or beef pho, spring rolls, banh mi, curry and stir-fry. Loyal customers often go back for the same dish every time (the friend chicken in a house-recipe sauce, for example, or a noodle soup like hu tieu). Vietnamese iced coffee is a tasty treat, especially when dining on the patio in summer. Indoors, Mekong is notable for its split-personality dining rooms: a decorous restaurant, part neon-hued café.
